Vacuum

The Century NSD-360A combines a vertical compass card and an omni bearing
course selector with course deviation for a map-like perspective. This greatly
simplifies visualization of position and navigation track. Glideslope indication is
presented to the left of the compass card. "Barber-striped" flags provide
conspicuous warning indications for NAV, glideslope, and heading. Magnetic
slaving is optional.

Electric (pictured)

The NSD1000 Navigation Situation Display offers the same presentation as
the NSD360A instrument. Inside, however, the unit features a built-in electric
gyro as well as a self-contained slaving meter. Bootstrap output is an optional
feature.

NSD Packages

The NSD requires a special radio coupler (1C388-2) when used with the Century IIB and Century III autopilots. When the NSD is used with a Century IV, the computer amplifier must have a 1D695-1 roll module. NSDs with ARINC VOR or VOR and glideslope meters require an ARINC remote OMNI/LOC converter such as the 92S8 Converter Kit.

All configurations are approved for use with the CIIB, CIII, C41, and C2000 autopilots.

A heading system kit includes the instrument, connectors, and installation manual. The slaved gyro kits also include the slaving amplifier and flux detector. The RMI kits incude the RMI slaving amplifier and flux detector.
